“I first met Vanessa at a dinner party of some amazing mutual friends. I was chatting with someone on the couch when she came over, she had a very intent look on her face with a big smile. She had said “ Hi. I’m Vanessa.” I introduced myself.  Then she asked me if I have ever heard of a Channel or a Medium and that she was one.  I felt so excited, confused and honored.  She then said there was someone that wanted to speak to me and they wanted to use the word “Diamond necklace” to confirm that I would know who it was.  (I was not wearing a diamond necklace at the time). Immediately tears shot out of my eyes because I knew it was my Mother.

I had been with my Mother when she crossed over from cancer.  My Brother, sister, and Dad were there too.  After, when all the siblings were together my Dad brought in my Mom’s jewelry box to sort it out amongst ourselves.  Everybody was pretty much amicable about who got what.  A few days later when the house was quiet and everyone was gone, I wondered into the room my Mom crossed in.  I looked at her jewelry box that had been emptied but decided to open a drawer anyway and saw her diamond necklace laid out perfectly.  It was actually the only piece of jewelry that she wore.  She had been in and out of the hospital for different reasons through the years and she would always let me wear the necklace when she was in the hospital.  I loved that necklace so much that my Parents got me a fake one on one Christmas.  So when Vanessa said that I was super excited that I get to talk to my Mama again!  Through Vanessa my Mom said that necklace was meant for me and that she put it there for me to find.  She went on to tell me many fascinating things.  I tried to jot them down in a special notebook when I got home but due to my shock and happiness, it came out a little cloudier than in the moment but I left with such a feeling of relief, joy and security that my Mom is still guiding me.

I saw Vanessa again about six months later at another holiday dinner gathering.  It was very nice to see her but I can’t lie, I was hoping my Mom was around again because this time I was completely clear and open.  So I went into the house after greeting everyone and Vanessa followed me in.  She said “Your Mother is here with a message.”  Inside, I was like “YEEEESSS”!!!!  She said “ She wants you to release every ounce of guilt you feel for not being with your Father right now.  It’s completely okay!  Guilt and worry don’t exist on this plain and they don’t mean anything on that one.  Let it go!  Stop worrying.” Vanessa was making these hand gestures that were absolutely my Mom’s while saying “Calm down kid.” (Also my Mom’s words.)  She then said “ The people that are around my Dad now are supposed to be with him.  (My Sisters).  They are all there to learn a lesson together.  They might call you to complain about each other just listen to them.”

This message changed my life. Vanessa knew  nothing about my life and I did not know anything about hers.  My Dad is in a nursing home on the Mainland, very far away.  I had spent a month there not too long before that and was tapped out financially to even get back there.  I had been so sick with guilt to even live my own life.  Just worry, worry, worry!  Hearing these words that it’s okay, opened up my world!  Because you can’t really take care of another person if you don’t take care of yourself.

My Mom had said through Vanessa that I’m where I’m supposed to be and that I am surrounded by love. That made me feel 2 inches taller.  Shortly after this experience, I found a grant and started schooling and finished.  I’ve placed myself in jobs and activities that I love!  I talk to my Dad all the time and still get to share my love with him and I know that he understands.

Vanessa continued on with some very personal issues as well that really gave me a new perspective, freedom, and hope! She is the real deal. Sooo gifted!!  I’m blessed to have her on my path!” Aloha
